The thing about not wearing makeup... when you feel like wearing it, people notice. And comment. And I feel self conscious. But I am nearly 40 and I'm starting to look it. I need to do something... but I also remember hassling my Mom for wearing green eye shadow. I think uhhh I went too bright today. 🤡 #adventureswithmakeup

So I'm trying to be more experimental with #makeup. Earlier, my sister sent me these pics of #prettyblackgirls pulling off #purplelipstick. So... because I'm "creative" I melted down a tube of #cherryChapstick and mixed in some #blueKoolAid. Because #redandbluemakespurple, right?! The colour looked great in my little mixing bowl. However, when it touched my lips the KoolAid reacted with the moisture on my lips and made little blue flecks. Then my whole mouth was stained #blue. I thought adding a layer of the only #redlipstick I own would counteract the blue and make a shade of purple. Because #redandbluemakespurple, right?! Nope! I just ended up with red lips with blue flecks in it. In my defence this worked when #SophiaBurset did it on #oitnb. #adventureswithmakeup #makeupexperiment #diymakeup
