“The Last Drop”. The first flop.
After stumbling through half the city for half an hour looking for a pub neither of the four of us has visited before, we came across The Last Drop on Grassmarket.
Two got drinks, I got cash for me and the other one. Coming back, the other one had realised he didn’t have an ID with him, which meant he couldn’t stay... Admitting they remembered they had actually been here before, the two downed their drinks and we all left and went to mine for a cuppa tea.
It can only get better.
Adventure Thursday: 10/24/14-The Duck and Bunny
Ok so you know those beautifully dreary days where the only thing in the world you want to do is lye in your bed with a nice cup of coffee and watch netflix? Well that was Thursday. I was struggling to get motivated to do anything, but plug my laptop charger in, but adventure always prevails…well…most of the time at least! I finally got motivated and put on real clothes and walked across campus with my dear friend Ali’s car keys in hand ready to find a good instagram on such a rainy day. But, when I got to her car I quickly realized I had absolutely no clue how to work the windshield wipers. Like no clue. Nothing. So I sat in her car trying different gears on the little stick thingy on the steering wheel and googling everything about the Chevy Colbalt, to no accord. So I packed up and made the long trek back up to my dorm (going down campus is no problem, walking back up though is basically climbing Mt. Everest, and in rain boots? Killer.). As God would have it though, as soon as I got to then quad I saw my sweet friend Faith who told me she was just about to call and meet me wherever I was for Adventure Thursday and guess what!?? She knows how to use her windshield wipers!!!! #praise #blessed So with an even higher sense of adventure Faith, our other friend Michelle, and I hopped in her car and drove down to this street called Wickenden by Brown University. I wasn’t sure what to expect (the name added some mystery), but it ended up being this super quaint and adorable street filled with little shops, Christmas lights, and cobblestones! We got out and immediately started exploring, from a mini aquarium to little antique stores we were in love. And as we started walking back to the car we saw this little house that had the tiniest sign that read “The Duck and Bunny” and an open door. Thinking it was a store, we walked on in only to be greeted by a Ryan-Gosling esque man who asked how many. We were escorted through a small little door and found ourselves in literally the cutest "snuggery" I have ever been in and I’ve been in a lot. Don’t even take my word for it, just look at these pictures!! So cute. So sweet. So dreamy. Also, their dark chocolate salted caramel cupcakes? Major.
