Spoonies, I woke up this morning (8:30 EST) with my whole face and scalp so numb and tingling so hard it was painful. It was relieved slightly when I put a blanket or some other sort of material over my face. My eyes were also tingling which made them painful to open and also made my vision all sorts of messed up. My vision is fine now, but my hands and face are still very tingly and numb, but less so and it’s not painful anymore, just annoying and bothersome. I’ve been very overheated and dizzy and feeling faint as well.
I’m thinking this could be an aura with no headache? I do get migraines. Also, numbness is a side effect of some of my meds and I've experienced symptoms similar before, but I’ve never had tingling or numbness this bad, or so intense that it was more painful than irritating or bothering my vision. I also have some other neuro problems as well, such as dizzy spells and increasing numbness in my feet and toes with exertion which I am having a nerve conduction study for later this week.
I have EDS 3, amplified pain syndrome, possible fibro, possible lupus SLE, and remain mostly undiagnosed for my main symptoms and chronic pain.
I have an exam today and have to move out of my dorm so I can’t hide away from the world. Apparently college won’t run on spoonie time. Any tips on what this is or how to deal with it?
