The adware.epicplay program from EpicPlay LLC is an application that tracks and collects browsing information from the user. This adware is installed in in exchange for free access to games offered from the online gaming sites mimagoo.com, epicplay.com, gamevance.com, and freeworkz.com. Some of its variants are flagged by antivirus tools as Adware:Win32/GameVance, Adware.EpicPlay, and Trojan/Genome.bcfc. In addition to gathering browsing information, it causes the redirection of the Web browser to unknown sites and serves targeted advertising popups that may be annoying and disruptive.
