It’s hard for me to believe that all aengels got corrupted because they didn’t want to sacrifice their species, which basically means killing men, women and children you’ve lived with for centuries. Maybe the corruption began when faeries started to hunt them because the ritual didn’t work properly and aengels started to seek revenge
