Aesquamas
Scientific Name: Homo Squameus (Scaly)
Description: They live on shallowly engulfed sandbars and shoals in tall stilted houses.
They have the ability to breath underwater, and their eyes can adjust to the darkness of the deepest areas.
Non-Aesquamas folk, such as tidecullers or tourists from other planets will inappropriately call them the Aesqua.
Height: 5′7 to 6′9
Physical Description: They have a pale-blue skin tone and have scales over various parts of their body. Males especially will have scales covering their chin and upper lip area that resembles a beard.
They have scar-like cuts on their sides, near where their lungs are located that open up to form gills so they can breathe underwater.
Their ears are similar to that of fins, and their eyes are fish-like.
