Axolotls remain in their larval state even once they are mature enough to reproduce (something called neoteny)! This may be related to gender, sexuality, or any other aspect of one's identity. This may also be for one who dresses in the clothing that is expected of them for safety due to being closeted or other, similar reasons.
This is not me wanting to reinforce the idea that clothing has a gender, but rather, providing a label / terms for those who wish to reclaim/claim the term for themselves. However one chooses to define man or woman is up to them.
