Describe your first love
I first loved my father. I suppose it's cliche. I barely knew my mother, however, and Father was doting on me constantly, even though his standards were high and great. When I was small, he was like any father - reading me to sleep and kissing me goodnight.
He loved me.
And I loved him.
No matter how harshly I would be beaten in my training or how I did in my lessons, he made sure I was taken care of.
He taught me everything that I know and shaped much of who I am now. I owe a great deal to my father, even for his many failings.
Describe the first lesson you ever learned.
I learned that my father's gifts, no matter how extravagant and plentiful, would never replace his presence. The time he chose to give me was far more precious.
I learned to chase his attention and his approval long before I mastered anything else.
