“Alright… Now that Zero has also been rushed to the hospital to recover from his concussion, I just wanted to extend a sincere apology to the viewers and competitors at home. I can assure you that we did everything in our power to ensure the course was safe, but… freak accidents happen, I suppose. So from now on, safety helmets are MANDATORY for competitors! No exceptions!”
“The paramedics are standing by in case we have another unforeseen emergency. However, it’s imperative to get back to the runs, wouldn’t you say, Mr. Chairman?”
“I couldn’t agree more. Here is a competitor from Alola’s very own Aether Paradise, named Florie! I hear that she’s a bit of a nature and Pokemon lover. I can’t wait to see how she does!”
“Oof, that’s not a very good start! She stumbled right out of the gate, taking an extraordinary time scaling the first few steps, and then slipping and falling into the water anyway!”
“Thankfully she held up her Repeat Ball pin, so the clock has been set back to zero. She’s giving it a second try once she has time to reset… There. She paid close attention to her footing, and though she slipped a bit thanks to the decreased traction on her shoes, she still managed to get to the next obstacle with little fuss.”
Machamp’s Low Sweep -- 54 seconds
“It seems as though she’s had her second wind… She knows that she can’t afford another slip-up like that, so she’s really gunning it as fast as she can!”
“She seems to be enacting the method Zero came up with. Pausing a bit to time tit just right, and then dashing across as soon as she felt it safe. She took a touch longer than Zero did in that instance, but it’s much better than getting dunked into the water yet again.”
Falinks Hill -- 43 seconds
“Wow! It’s looking more and more like the first obstacle was just a fluke! Look at how she scales up and down the rolling, painted spheres as they’re nothing!”
Shapeshiftin Ditto -- 98 seconds
“She’s got some time to spare now, so she takes a long pause to carefully observe the rotation of the Shapeshiftin’ Ditto. She likely doesn’t want to repeat the ill fate of Zero.”
“Even though it costs her a few precious seconds, she waits patiently until one of the biggest cut-outs swings into place -- Rhyperior! Success! She manages to hit the button with over a minute to spare! Amazing work!”
Vibe Check! No bonus.
“Ah, but it seems like exhaustion has caught up to her after her stunning run! Her legs seem to be reduced to jelly as she flops listlessly onto her target! Quick Ball Guy barely budges at all. No bonus, I’m afraid!”
“Regardless, it was a very good run, and something to be proud of. It’s a very good start for the team.”

@aether-florie
I can totally picture these two just sprawled out like it’s no big thing. Facing each other with their legs intertwined. They’re probably on their phones or just chatting~
Cyan totally snuggles up from behind and lays a long leg over her as he plays with her hair. He’s really good at braids and probably will do a bunch in Florie’s hair as they chat.
If she has had a rotten day he just wraps her in a blankie and then hugs around her with his long limbs. She is now a Florie burrito.
Cyan was blown away at the sight before him; all the Pokemon, in a perfect little paradise, just for them!! And they just let guests wander around here?
That was a mistake. Something thought in the back of his mind. A creeping paranoia that he couldn’t shake, even years after leaving Rocket. A good place like this could be ruined, with the wrong people involved...
Look, he could probably just...go in there and hang with the Corsola! It didn’t even look like anyone was around! To prove his point, he found himself sitting on the small fence that separated himself from the little biome for the corsola. He looked down at them, then looked around to see if anyone was there to see.

This person may look closed in, but look closer -- they’re smiling. This is their comfort zone.
This card is telling you to rest. Things might be hectic out there, but for now it’s better for you to take a break for a while. Take inventory about where you are right now. If you need advice, a level-headed friend would be the best to ask.
“Your grief shall provide the catalyst.” She’d stopped questioning him. If he wanted to put her inside the machine then she would step inside. There was no way to tell if she would survive. So she would be at her best, and if she died then he would know what he had lost.
First she cleansed her skin and hair, perfuming it. Then did the same for her companion. She painted her face and hands with red and she clothed herself in her finest shift and leather apron and wore her best raiment. Gold covered her fingers and neck, and her diadem rested upon her head. She sat on the stool provided her, and helped her companion to sit upon her lap.
“I am ready, Sealbhach.” She said. He grunted, and closed her in.
Hours it took. She could hear him frantically working. Muttering. She could not see what was happening outside her little chamber. She felt a rocking and loud sound. It crushed her, this sound. Crashing into her ears. Turning her vision white. Burning her skin. She screamed and fell.
All she could tell was that she was falling. Had been falling. Hours, days, seconds. There was no way to tell how long she’d been falling when she saw the ground opening up before her. She landed in a cloud of thrown up dust at the bottom of a sandpit.. Coughing and dazed.
Something tugged her foot.
“Ahh!!” Screaming, she kicked back and scrambled away. Her shoe was lost to the.. The sandcastle? It swallowed the shoe and more of them formed in the hole her impact had brought. She tried to climb out and away from these monsters, but no matter how hard she scrabbled she couldn’t get up the sides. “Help!”
Another cloud of dust landed and she heard a loud honk. Her companion had fallen with her! “Over here!” Over the side came a raging swanna. Loudly hissing to drive the shifting sand beasts away.
