Do you have any ideas for the child of Aether? I can picture them having some sort of control over winds and light but other than that I can't think of anything.
If you’re talking about Aither the Primordial God of Light and the Bright, blue ether of the heavens? I think I did do some research back during the process of writing the Primordial Demigods H/Cs, but just didn’t write it at the time due to constraints, or some reason or another that I have forgotten.
I’ll try to remember what I had thought and some stuff, probably isn’t a lot to begin with:
Aether doesn’t just have wind and light powers, but also powers of the mists as his mists fill the space between Ouranos and Gaia. We can say he manipulates or is the Mist that obscures between the mortals and the world of the gods and monsters, so as a child of Aither, they can manipulate not only wind, light, but also the Mists.
Aether is also one of the three ‘airs’ aside from Erebus and Chaos, where he is the mist of light and blue of the heavenly either, that enveloped the mountain peaks, clouds, stars, sun and moon. So I’m just imagining the child of Aether being able to summon clouds or something, wisps of air and the auroras. Can you imagine the child of Aether resting among the clouds or even riding it around? (insert Suwukong/Monkey King OR Goku reference here)
So I wanna say if we have to compare it to canon demigods, a child of Aether would be like a child of Apollo and Zeus, of Light and the Heavens, Sky, Storms. Or maybe the Roman demigod of Apollo, if we go with that the Romans conflated or affiliated Apollo with the god Mithra, who is the god of Light and Brightness.
Aether could be seen like Apollo and the Four Winds, who are able to hear and see anything, so as a child of Aether, they can see anything the light touches, the winds lets them hear things that the wind carries, or maybe even being able to be shielded by the Mist.
I can also see the child of Aether being able to become (the) Mist. Interpret that as you wish.
But you forget one important power that honestly took me a minute to realize that as a child of Aether, they have well, the power of Aether, the 5 element.

In terms of Basing off this, as a child of Aether, has the power of, well, the elemental Aether, the 5th element of Fire, Water, Air, and Earth; a celestial elemental that flows throughout the universe and existence, binding the four elements together; the essence breathed by gods, the same way humans breathe air. So you know, that kind of Aether.
So the child of Aether has the possibility of having the power of Aether and are able to basically create things out of existence. Of course with such a powerful power and as a demigod, they have their own limits accessing this power. They can’t just create things out of thin air (LOL) that freely. Sure, little things inanimate things, sure why not. However the bigger it is, in terms of size, existence, and concept, the harder and riskier it is.
You can’t just create life or powerful items without risk. With life, it is an important choice to be made to be really real and if they do make something ‘real’ it doesn’t last long because it need to be fed one way or another. You can theoretically ‘make’ Zeus’ lightning bolt but they aren’t the same lightning bolts and aren’t as powerful as the real thing, because their name, legacy, and history are tied into the object.
There are some limitations to it maybe, like having to concentrate to will it into existence, having to make it with your hands, draw it out, learning about the object to sustain the object, or etc.
If we really want to ham down on the power of Aether manipulation, they have to ‘breathe’ it into existence, either speaking it into existence or literally breathing ‘air/life’ into it, which makes a lot more sense as a child of Aether who is part of one of the airs.

The translation of Aether is “Ether” so you can imagine using the power of Ether or them being Ethereal. Though if you do use the power of Ether, it is a chemical compound group so if you’re particularly science-y and know your chemistry there you go!

I was also going to use Aither instead of Aether as that's one of his spellings but for the sake of clarity in the ask. However, if you want to avoid too much confusion between the elemental Aether or even like the MC Genshin Impact character Aether, then you can also use the name "Aither"
