guess what my husband moved here from England when he was 19 and he still thinks br/ex!t is dumb as fuck, also if that lady is on the same side as someone who thinks people with different skin tones shouldn't have babies then I feel like she should re-evaluate her position

Thanks Allie, I appreciate that. I think br/ex!t is dumb as fuck, too, because it’s going to severely limit the opportunities of young people in the very near future, while the elderly and uneducated who voted to leave on the sole topic of immigration aren’t really going to be affected by it. This is just going to make the situation in England worse than it already is, and that helps no one.

With that said, the person who literally came out as antimiscegenation is an Armenian man (who is more white passing than not), but has a huge chip on his shoulder about Muslim people (I think his parents lived through the genocide, or at the very least were persecuted, given that they’re Christian rather than Muslim).

The argument I got from this woman whose husband is British was that I don’t know what I’m talking about because non-white people are getting social security, benefits, jobs, and are ‘living better than the average white person’ in England (followed by commentary from That Guy that it’s the same here in Canada, now), without considering that the ‘poor immigrant living better than the average white citizen’ is a fucking myth that has been debunked countless times, but hey, what the fuck do I know!!

This Woman also went on to complain about her brother-in-law, who worked in New Zealand for many years (???), and when he went back to England, received no help from the government (???????????????????????). I don’t know, I might be wrong here, but I’m pretty sure that if you worked and paid taxes in a different country, you’re not entitled to benefits somewhere else, unless you actually paid into those benefits??

And even then? I don’t know, that just seemed like a red herring to me, but again, what the fuck do I know, I’m just some dumb young person who doesn’t know what they’re talking about!!

She then went on to comment that “Of course London voted to Remain, half the population of London doesn’t even speak English!” and it was at that point that my eyes rolled so far back into my head that I could see my brain cells dying, on top of which I knew I basically didn’t need to listen to anything this woman had to say because she’s an old, white racist.

Additionally, I’m also of the understanding that the jobs that the immigrants are ‘‘‘‘‘stealing’’’’’ from white British people are largely menial labour and grunt work jobs (i.e. the jobs that white British people don’t really want to do or feel they are above, but will complain if they aren’t freely and readily available to them by virtue of their whiteness).

I’m so, so fucking tired of old, entitled white people...

I made a béchamel sauce using a rough estimation of this recipe then added about a cup of Colby Jack cheese (had to do it in small sticks because I don't have a cheese grater). Salt and pepper to taste. 150 g of elbow macaroni, cooked about 8 minutes in salted boiling water (stir occasionally, obvsly). Drain the macaroni, then add directly into the pan where you cooked your béchamel cheese sauce, mix until coated, transfer to bowl OM NOM NOM. The whole thing probably only takes about 20-25 minutes if you've got the pot with noodles and sauce going at the same time (which I did).

I found it particularly satisfying because I don't usually cook for myself, but I finally got my stove fixed recently so I've just been able to and it's really excellent. :)

that he was the most baller-ass ALT of all time and did a whole shitload of awesome stuff for his school and for ALTs in Kobe in general which makes anything I do basically like trying to polish a turd...
