‘ i thought i might find you here. i followed the wind until it led me to you. ‘ ever since kazuha met the mysterious traveler, he felt a close bond to him. after all, they had been through a lot together in a short time. their lives were both of a wandering type, so their paths didn’t cross very often. but kazuha would be lying if he didn’t admit sometimes he changed his course in order to see aether again. if the opportunity arises, he would always take it. 

‘ it’s been a while. how have you been ? i thought perhaps we could get some food, and catch up. have you been well ? ‘ sometimes he worried about aether. he had made so many friends across his travels across teyvat, but he also found himself in danger so frequently. occasionally, his mind wandered to thinking if aether was in trouble, he wouldn’t be there to help him. but he would always come if aether called to him. 

‘ it will be nice to travel freely, without having to avoid populated areas or the shogun’s army. have you been into the city recently ? ‘

It was a strange event for sure — with no warning from any observatory, astronomer or department — that one day over Japan a star fell from the sky. To observers it looked like a meteor, but if it were a meteor, there had been no detection prior to its arrival. Nor was there any sign of impact around where it fell, just records of a bright light and reports of a tinkling sound like a hundred tiny bells, or a thousand wind chimes.

If people still lived in the superstitious era, it would most certainly have been the sort of thing to be called an omen of some kind.

Then in the days following started sightings of a winged child, a strange child with bright eyes who didn’t speak, boldly approached strangers, and who could fly. Whatever they were, they weren’t hiding themselves much.

This was a very different world to the one where Bonajiko came from. There were countless living things here, many they’d never seen before, and the ones they recognised were vastly different. The butterflies and the birds weren’t bright like the ones they used to. They were darker and more colourful. The people too — looked different, had no flame.

There were lots of grown-ups! And everyone was alive.

But, they didn’t seem to know what to think of Bonajiko. Bonajiko wasn’t entirely sure what to think of them, either. Connecting with others here might be more difficult than they guessed, even with other children.

For now, they had retreated to a quieter place off the nearest road. They had climbed up to the top of a tree and were basking in the sun (within view of the road, leaving some drivers wondering what that was that they caught out of the corner of their eye as they sped along). The other thing about this place was that all the clouds were so very far away...

But the sun was warm.

vanilla oh heart of ice and mind of gold, what am I to do with you? you are only good in small amounts, bittersweet fledgling, you are hard for most to swallow. your spirit is strong, your wit is potent, your biting essence drives even the most daring away. but why are you hiding your sweetness? Talk about... Marichat? owo

Where do I even begin?! I used to be a hardcore Ladrien stan because I thought that was like the ship. Like, I thought that was where they would grow. But I was so wrong. So, so wrong. Marichat is where they are the most honest. They can actually confide with one another and share genuine thoughts and feelings they harbor within themselves. Both of them are at their most relaxed in this dynamic, which is why it’s so easy for them to communicate. Because this is where the foundation of their friendship and partnership lies.

I think I became really invested in this pairing in the episode that icon is from. Because we see how Adrien works to cheer up Marinette, and she actually lets him. Ladybug tends to blow off Chat because she’s wearing responsibility and has an image to uphold, but Marinette can rest easy knowing she’s with the best partner anyone could ask for. As for Adrien, he is his most true self as Chat. The suit brings freedom rather than responsibility. He’s anonymous; free of a surname and escorts. He gets to take Marinette in his arms and carry for her a change. She’s his first friend, and he knows how caring she is. For once, he gets to take care of her in place of her taking care of everyone else.

They are where the slowburn has always been. Many thought it was LadyNoir, but it wasn’t. I’m glad MariChat has been where the true growth was given space. After all, they had a whole fake dating moment! What isn’t there to love about them?!

It wasn't that often that he'd be away from the motherland like this - but as he wasn't willing to trust others with such an important task, he'd decided that for once he'd be the one to make the trip to Mondstadt - as annoying as it was proving to be. Peirro now stood in one of the rooms of the hotel that Pantalone had rented out, glancing out the window and watching quietly as some children appeared to have surrounded their Archon, oblivious, of course, to whom they currently played with. It amused him on some level, but to also be this close to one that played a part in the fall of his nation - it was easy to see as to why Signora had lashed out as she had.

"Any tales from afar?", his men seemed a little nervous about him walking out into the courtyard like this, but Peirro paid them very little mind. Gods were just another lifeform that roamed these lands, nothing to fear - and this one in particular was nothing more than a little songbird.

Adaptational Heroism: his canon counterpart, Dabi, is a villain.

Big Brother Instinct: very protective of his younger siblings (especially Shouto, the youngest) and children in general.

Blessed with Suck: he has a very powerful Fire Quirk (even stronger than his father's), but having inherited his mother's Ice Quirk user genes he can't use it to its full potential without burning himself.

Covered With Scars: not as much as his canon counterpart, but he still has a good amount of burn scars on his upper body due to his Quirk.

Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: whenever he has to work alongside his father.

Adaptational Superpower Change: it's unknown what her Quirk was in canon (or if she had a Quirk at all); this version inherited a weaker version of her paternal grandmother's original Quirk.

Genius Cripple: can't walk without the aid of a wheelchair or a cane and is a self-taught genius hacker.

Hates Their Parent: has nothing but contempt for her late father Kotarou.

Smart until infected with stupid

You think you're safe don't you? You are probably the responsible one in the group, perhaps even the mom friend. You are relatively smart but all it takes is one little thing to suck all your braincells out. It could be hanging around your fellow stupid friends, it could be being left alone, it could be having a bit too much fun. The stupid lives inside you and it just takes the right environment for it to show.

As Acting Grand Sage, Al-Haytham often had to make rounds to Gandharva Ville to ensure the state of the disgraced Sages entailed them completing their duties to the fullest, even if much of it was a pleasant bout of schadenfreude at seeing the bastards twist and squirm under the strain of hard work from benign payback they deserved to have extolled on them, and more. The Forest Ranger indulging his questions hardly minded the scathing remarks made, even giggling at a few. That was until she dismissed herself to tend to another duty, which left him largely to his own devices to assess the myriad needs the Rangers inevitably required.

Yet, he didn't make it far before a stealthy pair of arms tightened around his waist and a breathless laugh was practically squeezed from his lungs. Covering those smaller hands with his own, he craned his head enough to see familiar and endearing ears switch as if in reaction to his eyes.

"Mm, hello to you, too, habibi. Do you have plans for dinner? I was thinking about making something for tonight, here. Maybe Collei-jan could join us, too."
