What do you think would have happened if Spider had managed to break free from Quaritch grip and escape with Kiri in that scene where Varang connected their kurus to knock him unconscious? Do you think Quaritch would continue to attack the village anyway?
Hmm interesting, yes I do think he would attack the village still, but he wouldn’t authorise the incendiaries unless he knew spider’s position and that he was far away from it. Instead of Quaritch demanding “I’m gonna need the missus too,” when he’s negotiating with Jake, he’d just ask for Spider. If spider heard this then he would 100% hand himself over, because there’s no way he’s letting the genocidal maniac burn the village down if he has the power to stop it.
Either way, Quaritch wasn’t leaving that village without his son!
