AFASG15 Sunday Main Stage
I’ll write as much as I can remember~ Pls check read more because I have complied all 3 segments in one post! :D AFASG15 Main Stage Segment consists of: 1. Yuru Yuri San 2. Charlotte 3. One Punch Man 4. Anisong Artiste meetup (I didn’t include this, but everyone was there for the introduction except Nano. Yuri Yuru San stage Emcee: Danny Choo & Reiko Cast: Mimori & Mikami
When Mikami started her introduction. When she said Akarin~~, the crowd also responsed back Akarin~~
Mimori and Mikami started off like saying that Mimori has been to AFA for 2? years for Milky holmes and she felt that SG was like her 2nd home while as for Mikami, it was her first time in Singapore!
- Mimorin then said she learnt two words “cancancan!” and “ Ok lah” and they went on to explain what these words means and it is called Singlish Then Danny mentioned/explained that SG actually made a Singlish Dictionary last time. Then Mimori said she would like to get one HAHAHAH
The event started with both Mimori and Mikami Shiori introducing their characters along with other characters of Yuri Yuru san.
- When they played the opening song, the fans did a concert call and it really shocked both Mimori and Mikami, and they felt very happy (i dont remember clearly) They also mentioned the opening song was very catchy and very fast to sing(??)
- Mimori made the crowd go crazy because when she introduced her character, she first mentioned that her character got a huge oppai. - Danny tried to translate oppai by not saying breast but rather saying “memories”. - Mimori then translate it to Rocket oopai! (LOL) - This whole topic of Oppai inspired Mikami to shout Oppai HAHAHAHA then the audience also went along and shout” Oppai~ Oppai~” - They also laugh and said that if they translate it/said it in Japan, they would have gotten arrested by the police (does the action of handcuffed) so they better not. - They also played scenes where they liked and how it features the character most. - I only remember one scene where one of the character was asking for a kiss (HAHAHA) (i didn’t watch the anime pardon me.../shots)
Charlotte Emcee: Yoshida Hisanori (Yoppi) & Reiko Cast: Maaya, Lia & Director Yoshiyuki Asai
The whole event started with Maaya singing Rakuen Made (at first everyone was sitting down, then she ask everyone to stand up and sing/cheer along with her)
- This was the first seiyuu/Charlotte event being held and moreover in Singapore! - It was the first time Maaya and Lia met and their first meeting was at SG Main stage. - When first asked of impression of SG from the director, he said that SG is very hot and he said how is can everyone prepare Christmas in such a hot weather. AHAHHAHA - Lia spoke in English and she mentioned she studied overseas hence she knows a little English, on the other hand Maaya couldn’t understand what she said at all.
Then we moved on to the favourite scene selection from the guest.
The director chose Episode 1 where Takajio chases after Yuu (HAHAHAA) and he said that this episode was the funniest and he confessed that he shouldn’t be saying this but then he prefers Takajio over other characters. If I did not remember wrongly, he also said that he wanted the viewers to experience the joy and then slowly move into the intense/sad part of the story. Because initially Charlotte was a tragic(??) sad anime therefore, he tried to make the early episodes very comical then slowly develop it less comical.
Next we moved on to Maaya’s favourite scene where Yusarin was eating the marshmallow. After the video, she commented that Yusarin is very cute and proceed to ask one question to the director since she couldn’t ask Maeda Jun herself because when she saw him during a recording, at that moment, he emits off a vibe saying “Don’t approach me” therefore Maaya couldn’t ask him personally. So she said she finally got the chance to ask the director and ask why was this the only episode is where Yusa and Misa ate marshmallow.
Yoppi also asked if the director just realized (here in sg, main stage) that this is the only episode that Yusa ate marshmallow. He said, “No, of course not” and he went on saying that he had confirm with Maeda Jun (the original writer of Charlotte) that Marshmallow doesn’t have much of an impact on the audience hence changing to the Meat Stew (that we seen in the later episode where she cooked for Yuu) Next, I think it was Reiko (the Emcee), asked that why was Singapore the first country to be the place where Yuu went to, and the director’s reply was that because Singapore is the central hub where its easy to go any country from Singapore.
Lastly! Lia chose a scene where Yusa went back to her parents house to eat her parent’s homemade Soba. She commented that this scene made her cry because due to Japanese tradition, children rarely expresses their feelings (thanks/ gratitude) to their parents, and hence in this particular scene, it was very touching and she cried watching this scene. ( ME TOO TWT)
The next segment was the Yusarin’s spell!
So basically what happens is that Yusarin (Maaya) is going expel all the worries and troubles both the guest have (Director and Lia). Thus it started off with the director. So he asked Maaya, whether he should asked a serious problem or a not serious problem.
Then Maaya said both are fine! Then the director moved on to ask a not serious problem. So basically the problem was that he had a toothache recently so he hoped that Yusarin can heal his toothache.
So Maaya, continued to do Yusarin spell and hope that he toothache will be gone. But afterwards, Yoppi, Reiko and the rest of the cast does say that he should visit a dentist instead. AHHHAHA
Lastly, Lia spoke in English that she had throat problem and apparently she went to the doctor and the doctor said that it was an allergy. However she did not have allergy. So she said that is might be possible due to the drastic temperature change, hence causing the allergy. (Get well soon!)
Since Maaya couldn’t understand English at all, so Lia told her again in Japanese in a very cute voice HAHAHA and Maaya too replied in a very cute voice!
The event lastly ended with Lia singing “Bravely You”. (ASDFGHJKL HOW GOOD IT WAS ASDFGHJKL, THE CROWD ALSO DID THE CALL) All the cast thanked everyone~ (i got hazy memories alr...)
Last segment of the day!
One Punch Man Emcee: Yoppi & Reiko Cast: Furukawa Makoto
- Makoto’s first time coming to SG - He ate chicken Rice - Yoppi mentioned that many other seiyuus who came to SG also ate Chicken Rice so he was saying, his is probably a must eat on the menu. - CAN I MENTION HE IS ALWAYS SO ADORABLE AHHAHA SAYING “SANK YOU”TIME TO TIME HAHAAH AND IS ALWAYS SMILING AND LAUGHING
Makoto then explains what OPM is about and mentioned that he had already read the manga.
- He did the characterization of Saitama, urm reading through the manga (I dont remember ;_:) - Not sure did he shaved his head?? He said he wanted to shave his head. - Yoppi said that the female fans were like “No!!!!!” but then the male fans be like thumbs up, then Furukawa-san said “You better remember this (guys)! (obouetoke!)
- He said that Saitama being bald has nothing to do with his characterization. - He cannot do a full max voice out for Saitama because he always seemed very nonchalant. - He finds that it is frustrating and disappointing /toobad(Zannen) that he couldn’t voice/scream(strain) out his voice doing Saitama due to the characterization he did for Saitama. He only can do that when Saitama was dreaming in Episode 1. - He feel jealous/envy over his senpais(other seiyuus) esp Ishikawa Kaito always does the screaming for his character and other senpai’s.
After the introduction, he did a live dubbing of episode 1. where Saitama was dreaming he found a compatible opponent.
- He redid the first dubbing because he felt like he didn’t do well enough.
Then fans cheered him on “Gambatte” then he said “sank you!!!” HAHAA
- The second time he did it was so awesome (oops personal comment)
- Then he did the 3rd segment which is the continuation.
Yoppi ask what type of character does he like in OPM (Villain or Heroes)
He replied does it have to be a villain or hero? (not clear??) Then he went on to say that he like Zombieman, because of Takahiro Sakurai’s voice, in the volume 9 of the OPM manga where they gave a drama CD, then he proceed saying that Sakupyon said in a such unweirdly way(He tried to imitate but he couldn’t imitate, so he said if you get a chance to hear please do go and hear it) that he made the entire cast/room laugh. Then at that point, he fell in love with Sakupyon HAHAHAHA Then i think that was the end of the whole OPM segment. He thanked everyone and hope that he can come back again as Saitama XD
