Just remembered that in high school I had a friend who had like a very real fear of men, like idk if she had had a specific trauma experience or what, but I remember when she was telling this to me, her guy (at the time) friend, I asked her why she was totally fine around me? And the question seemed to genuinely shock her, and after a minute she was like "...I guess I think of you as more like a girl." And set the time I was like "aw I'm glad she doesn't feel threatened by me :)" but now I'm like "wait how tf did you know!! I didn't figure that shit out for a whole decade!!!"
