June 5th 2020 Los Angeles Protests. Here is what happened at just some of the protests and marches that went on in Los Angeles yesterday. First video: #Rosefromconcrete. Roses were brought in front of the #hallofjustice in #DTLA to honor the lives that died from #policebrutality. Second Video: Saw a protestor on the way to the Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for BLM march, #AFBLM, pushing a grocery cart filled with speakers while they played Martin Luther Kings’ “I Have a Dream” speech. Third Video: #AFBLM march down the street to #cityhalllosangeles on DTLA. Fourth Video: #AFBLM stopped at #cityhalllosangeles to join another group of protestors that marched from Pershing Square to City Hall to celebrate the life of #BreonnaTaylor. Fifth and 6th Video: In West Hollywood a march for Breonna Taylor’s Birthday. Ventured out of quarantine to protest in DTLA—it was peaceful, safe, focused, & powerful. (Everyone had masks on, people were offering squirts of hand sanitizer— I had gloves on, & tho it doesn’t look like it in the photos bc of the perspective, people kept their distance as best as possible.) What started out as #Asians4BlackLives #AFBLM initially became so many & so much more. ✊✊🏿 Today was her #BreonnaTaylor’s birthday. Her murderers still walk free.
