I’ve read the post on why you’re not a feminist and I have a really hard time not seeing it as any different than the “don’t support x they’re problematic” type of logic. Like even though I completely agree that feminism lacks empathy for men and can be toxic (though this goes for anti feminists too? And all political labels?), but if we reject the label, you still have the obvious fact that women have been exploited globally bc of their reproductive abilities. I guess it’s my problematic fav.

There is a slight bit of that logic, but it isn’t just a generalized “they’re problematic”, it’s a more specific "numerous leaders are self-serving and disingenuous, in very clear ways.” which speaks to the unreliability of the movement, in my eyes.
That post is and was, always, intended to be an explanation of my views, not an argument for other people’s.

Yeah, they all can get toxic and wrong. But the “not caring about men” was in reference to the predicted “feminists work for men too” line. If feminism is simply for the advocacy of women that’s perfectly fine in my book. A political movement can be about anything.
But if you’re not for me you don’t get to presume my support, you understand?

There is. I have never denied that sexism, misogyny, and bias are factors in the everyday experience of women, or that there is no bias in the institutions and structures of American society.
But, much like my specific critiques of intersectional feminism, I think that the policies and procedures proposed by feminism, by in large, are the wrong way to correct those imbalances.
A simple example would be the “Wage Gap”. A common feminist proposal would be to outlaw disproportionate pay between men and women in the same role.
My answer to that is: it’s already illegal to suppress pay on the base of sex. Instead, initiatives should be taken in schooling and in parenting (long issue) to preempt societal pressures to go into one field or another, and that paid maternity/paternity leave should be universal in the US; it has a studied and significant impact in reducing the wage gap to the point where the 2-8% number (with proper controls) can be eliminated.
