Oh and also there is an intrusive toddler, but he's also a featured Fringe artist so he's cool.

Hahahaha OMG this show is going to be so creepily great. Nice work from the gang at Twinhead Theatre (with a couple of cameos from Fringe staffers). And you might think, "Oh those Twinhead guys are only kind of crazy" until you go to the website featured in the video and see the enormous, insane #InnerWiki section. Lawd god.

The Buzz Intro Interview - Jonathan Kleitman, Village Theatre

"Audiences will leave feeling whole.  Their bellies will ache from laughter and their outlook on life will have a brighter hue."

1. Why should anybody see your show?

Because nothing like this has EVER been attempted before.  It’ll also be cray funny.

2. Why Atlanta?

Because that is where we are from.

3. What inspired you to create this?

Friends, teachers, belief in each other.  Also, A Prairie Home Companion, Neil Boortz and The Shadow.

4. What’s your creative process for something like this? Are you approaching it differently b/c it’s a festival or is it just business as usual?

We’re putting this show together specifically for the Fringe Festival so the creative process has been learn as you go.  With improv the only thing you can do is rehearse and try to learn your partners tendencies.

5. When people walk out of your show, they’re gonna be saying,”….

My life has forever been changed.

6. Is this your first festival?

Naw dawg.

7. If your show was an animal at the Atlanta Zoo, what would it be?

Cunning and multi-brained.

8. Will your show save mankind?

It’ll save mankind AND womankind.

9. Any Atlanta-based celebs you’re secretly (or not secretly) hoping will show up?

Tyler Perry.  Oh please God let Tyler Perry show up.  And, Jimmy Carter.  And, OutKast

10. Random Atlanta Couple Who Doesn’t Ordinarily Go To These Sorts of Things (RACWDOGTTST, for short) wanders into your show blind. What happens to them? Are their minds blown? Are they freaked out? Are they seduced by your gentle artistry?

"Is it ever business as usual in Theatre?  Every play is its own microcosm. Working on a 2 character play where both actors owns each character is a new endeavor for us, making it almost 2 separate shows that must gel into one. It will be an exciting creative process for all involved."

Why should anybody see your show?

2 actresses, 2 meaty roles and they won’t know which role they are playing until the audience chooses.  Plus, it’s a psychologically intricate world premiere, never before acted upon the stage. Be the first audience to see it, so you can brag to all your friends.

  Why Atlanta?

It is the burgeoning Theatre Empire of the New South. Of course, I live and create theatre here…so I could be a bit prejudiced.

  What inspired you to create this?

I have a passion for seeing excellent new plays staged for the first time and for bringing into being a never-before-seen work of art.

  What’s your creative process for something like this? Are you approaching it differently b/c it’s a festival or is it just business as usual?

Is it ever business as usual in Theatre?  Every play is its own microcosm. Working on a 2 character play where both actors owns each character is a new endeavor for us, making it almost 2 separate shows that must gel into one. It will be an exciting creative process for all involved to usher this melding into fruition.  The roles reversals blur the characters in the script.  They will do so in a very spontaneous real-time way for the actresses’ in our production.

  When people walk out of your show, they’re gonna be saying,”….

Wow—I can’t believe those Actresses were so flexible. It was so intimate, I felt like I was a fly on the wall of the of a psychiatrist’s office during a breakthrough session.  That was a really great, thought-provoking new short play. The direction did not suck either.

  6. Is this your first festival?

Nope, I’m a veteran of the Grand Daddy of Fringe Festivals in Edinburgh, Scotland---which is definitely the hippest place to be on the planet during the month of August.  This is OSA’s second world-premiere play that we have performed at Atlanta Fringe under my direction.  Yay, new plays!

  7.If your show was an animal at the Atlanta Zoo, what would it be? 

A mother kangaroo with an emotionally unstable joey in her pouch who can’t resist using that vantage point to give her a swift kick in the gut.

  8. Will your show save mankind?

Maybe…if they truly grockked the message…but as with most matters of import, only about half of them will.

  9. Any Atlanta-based celebs you’re secretly (or not secretly) hoping will show up?

I’ve always wanted Jimmy Carter to see my work.  He was too good a man to be Commander in Chief.  I wonder if he likes theatre. Perhaps Sir Elton, but I’d settle for Topher Payne in a pinch.

10. Random Atlanta Couple Who Doesn’t Ordinarily Go To These Sorts of Things (RACWDOGTTST, for short) wanders into your show blind. What happens to them? Are their minds blown? Are they freaked out? Are they seduced by your gentle artistry? 

No freak-age is necessary, unless, of course, thinking has that effect on you.  Intelligent writing, honest performances--- This couple will feel randomly illuminated and glad they stumbled through the theatre door.  OK—maybe not if they had their hearts set on Nascar races or WCW.

  11. Describe your show in three words.

Breathe. Listen. Birth-Death.  I’m counting the last as one hyphenated word
