How i imagine everlasting gobstoppers

It’s described in the book as “a large green marble”, which in the context could mean either the toy or the rock, and in the Portuguese translation it’s described as “um pedaço de mármore verde”, meaning “a piece of green marble”, marble being the rock (the toy would be “bola de gude”)

So i did what anyone with all their marbles in place would: mixed the two

So it’s a marbled marble with color changing swirls inside

And i added the rings because 1- it’d look cute; 2- gives more of an “everlasting” symbolism; 3- looks like a little planet!; 4- my in-universe headcanon is that they’re not a part of the actual gobstopper, they are technically removable (NOT recommended!) and are added for “stabilizing the gobstopper in time and space” and “enhancing the everlasting qualities”

(The gobstoppers in the book just don’t have their rings yet, that’s the next step in their production)

The sparkles are just there because it’s pretty lol

Mais fotos + review depois do ler mais (em PT, essa é uma marca brasileira então vou falar português, os gringos que se virem XD)

Cor: marrom, mas não aparece na pele (e eu tenho pele clara)

Embalagem: ah, é muito fofinha, tá?

Mas sério, comparada com a do hidratante de menta que eu já tinha (que é com a embalagem antiga das setinhas à la Duality de Set It Off) achei de melhor qualidade, não tem o espacinho entre as duas metades que a de menta tem (espaço que é um ímã de poeira), e gostei da aparência mais fosca

Eu adorei o detalhe dourado, muito fofo e com certeza vou acabar brincando com isso como estereotipia kkkkkkkk

O único problema é que o formato não é lá muito prático no quesito de carregar por aí, mas eu também normalmente carrego bolsa/mochila, então não é algo que me afeta tanto assim

Cheiro: bom, mas um pouco doce demais, eu já tinha o de menta e achava o cheiro meio fraco, esse achei meio forte kkkkk

Mas depois de um tempo ficou mais tranquilo, acho que acostumei

Parece um pouco o cheiro que colocavam em bonecas com cheiro quando eu era criança (tipo aquelas bonecas cupcake surpresa, nossa, ainda lembro da musiquinha da propaganda kkkkk)

Hidratação: olha, só usei um dia, mas se for que nem o de menta vai ser boa

Eu comprei o de menta faz um tempo pq achei que o cheiro seria mais forte e eu amo menta, acabei não usando muito, mais por esquecer mesmo, mas recentemente lembrei dele e minha boca tava TODA ressecada (e agora com a época de seca só vai piorar…), testei e em um dia melhorou bastante, coisa que eu não tava sentindo outros hidratantes que tenho fazer (e olha que tentei usar bastante e teoricamente esses hidratantes são de marcas boas)

Então fui pesquisar sobre o Beta, descobri que tinha versão Wonka, fiquei MORRENDO de vontade de comprar mas resolvi continuar a usar o de menta por pelo menos alguns dias pra ter certeza, chegou o dia de hoje decidi que de fato ia pelo menos dar uma olhada, passei em uma farmácia no caminho pra casa, vi, e tava até mais barato que eu esperava, então comprei kkkkk

Exemplo 204692 de marcas capitalizando no hiperfoco de autistas KKKKKKK

Mas sério, minha boca tava toda rachada e quando usei o de menta melhorou bastante, então com a seca vindo acho que vale a pena ter um outro pra usar também, só provavelmente não vou usar antes de dormir por causa do cheiro

Textura: achei ok, fica a sensação na boca, mas não tô achando repulsivo, então ou tô me acostumando com sensação de hidratante labial ou só é ok mesmo, não sei

Gosto: não tem muito gosto mas o que tem não é dos melhores, mas é gosto típico de hidratante labial e também não tô achando repulsivo, então tá ok

Considerações finais: gostei, vou usar (ou pelo menos usar o tanto que eu lembrar pq historicamente sou ruim com essas coisas kkkkk)

Compraria de novo? Não sei, só o tempo dirá

E sim, tem coisa nessas fotos que tá borrado, parte por privacidade (a embalagem sem borrar tava com reflexo demais) e parte pq eu só não tava afim de colocar o lote e a validade do meu hidratante labial na internet kkkkkkk

The line “in Brazil they gave up coffee for a taste of Wonka toffee” is so funny to me

First of all, BRAZIL MENTIONED

Second of all, that must be some darn good toffee, i sure wouldn’t give up coffee that easily (Brazilians are not a monolith, ymmv)

And third of all, why would anyone need to give up coffee for toffee?

What even is toffee anyways? The kind of toffee i know is the Arcor candy Butter Toffees (i like the choco-mint ones best, but the milk ones are pretty good too)

I just find it funny lol
