“Did that hit you?!” (Yoshi)

First Interaction Starters

It was a clear day without a cloud in the sky. Finally getting a break from the constant stress of the war Yoshi decided that it would be a good idea to have some tea outside. She walked over to a nearby cherry blossom tree and sat down on her knees. Her hands held the warm ceramic cup, enjoying the warmth emanating from the cup. She lifted the cup to her lips and let the warm liquid flow down her throat, feeling the warmth travel through her body.

Enjoying the peace and quiet, Yoshi could feel herself slowly drift off into a nap. As she was about to close her eyes, an arrow flew by getting lodged into the tree she was leaning on, inches away from her head.

She turned to face the direction the arrow came from, preparing herself for any enemies that may have attacked. Instead of an enemy ambush, Yoshi saw the youngest princess of Hoshido stumble over yelling. Yoshi stood up and brushed off any dirt or debris that may have been on her clothes.

“Hello Lady Sakura.”

She pointed towards the arrow lodged in the tree.

“Do not worry, the arrow missed me by a couple inches. Though I must say, your aim is quite impressive.”

It was laughable for an adult to get lost in a place as small as a Deeprealm: hopefully those who were fully grown had enough common sense to make sense of the small pockets in the astral plane, or at least enough to mentally map out a singular Deeprealm. A child getting lost in there, however, was another story entirely. Without that sense of direction to guide one and small legs to carry them, it was much harder for one to find their way back.

That was the situation in which Forrest had found himself. He hadn’t meant to go far – just a little ways away from the house – but that lack of focus children are known for had carried him much farther than intended, the young boy not having bothered to notice where he was going.

It wasn’t his first time being alone – little ones who had grown up in these places were used to being on their own more often than they might like – but it was his first time being hopelessly lost while also being on his own. The boy had found ways to cope with being lonesome, but not lost. There was no one and almost nothing in sight. Would his caretaker be able to find him? The thought that he might be stuck here forever plagued his mind enough to bring tears to Forrest’s eyes. He wished that he’d brought his sewing supplies to keep him company…

“Sakura, mind answering something for me?” That was how this encounter with his little sister started, with Takumi wanting to know something from his little sister. He didn’t ever get an answer to his question. Why, the prince never even got to answer it. Because his little sister; dear, sweet Sakura... she had randomly grabbed hold of his face and pulled him down to her level, planting a kiss right on his cheek, the one that he is nursing a rather nasty bruise where his bowstring had snapped into his face.

Leo was confident in his ability to pick apart who each person was (that he knew) at the masquerade, even with all the garish costumes and masks. But as soon as he arrived at the party in his own formal, vampiric-looking attire, he was horribly wrong. So far, he could only pick out Odin and Laslow. Those two were incredibly obvious just from their outward personalities. Everyone else, well...they either weren’t there or Leo had to guess. There was one person, however, who was present at the party that looked all too familiar, so much so that he had to go up and ask.

"Hm...apologies for my intrusion. I thought we might have met somewhere."

It would have been rude to just walk away. He had an image to keep up to the public, even if he was wearing a black-and-gold masquerade mask to cover his face. At Nohrian events such as these, it was imperative to Leo that everyone was enjoying themselves, so as to reflect good upon the royal family.
