        She’s careful not to overstep his boundaries, yet opens her arms to pull him into an embrace if he wishes for the touch. Not too daring, but enough to relax in the comfort of their bed. She’d be pleased if he just stayed with her a few extra minutes to delay the start of the day. He’s been away in the Capitol for longer than anticipated ( and Annie plans to make up for the lost time ). A soft smile warms her face when she gets close to seal the deal, turning into a playful pout soon after. ❝ I missed you. ❞

              “Mr. Odair – it’s good to see you again.” Palm rests gently over his forearm as she greets him, soft pink lips pulled into a sweet, sincere smile. “What’s new in your life?”

She doesn’t mean to linger, hung up in the silence following his words. It’s just that.. she doesn’t feel like she deserves the sentiment. Always missing in action. One assignment after the other. The cold pooling into the empty space in the bed. How could he even still think of her as some sort of priority?

“Finnick..” She’s struggling. Stringing a minimum amount of words together in her head to offer the proper response. There is a tenderness that is nurtured for him. Always for him. It is difficult to exude a rigid demeanor, or spew icy words in his direction for this reason alone.“…thank you.”
