Okay, so he'll admit that running off to hid in Atlantis whenever he got too huffy, or the strain of trying to evade the law got to be too much wasn't the most heroic thing he'd ever done. In the mists of all the chaos that Luthor's new laws about vigilantism had cause Aquaman had basically opened up Atlantis to the remaining heroes as a place to cool their heels without worrying about being arrested.
It was an honest relief to Ollie, who hardly felt safe on the surface anymore. Too many nights spent looking over his shoulder, wondering if saving this or that person would put an end to his freedom was sobering. It left him feeling almost as paranoid as the Bat. Having somewhere to go where Luthor's laws couldn't touch him, and he didn't feel like a live wire at every second was a god send.
Plus the company wasn't too bad. Ollie smiled fondly as he was led through the city by an Atlantean soldier. He and Aquaman himself had struck up a bit of an odd friendship, and at was where he was going now. Off to see the King.
