[text]: Garth? I received a rather strange folder from you. Should I be concerned?
[text] please do not open that folder it is nothing!!
Garth hovered just outside the door to the king and queen's personal quarters, his expression switching back and forth between determined and embarrassed. Occasionally he would raise his fist and almost knock on the door, only to slowly lower it again with an inaudible sigh.
If they weren't living in this dumb palace, the young teen thought to himself after nearly knocking once again, he wouldn't be having such a hard time with this. But Arthur -- Orin? His Majesty? -- was busier now, and Garth hardly got a chance to talk to him one-on-one without being interrupted. Not to mention that virtually everyone else in the palace seemed to think their king shouldn't be spending his free time with some orphan who didn't exactly have any obvious ties to city, let alone Atlantean royalty.
Aqualad didn't even have a good excuse to wanting to speak with Arthur, he was just lonely and bored and he was sick of trying to talk to seahorses and clams for company. The boy straightened his back, squared his shoulders and gave the closed door a few loud knocks, silently praying that his king was actually inside.

Okay, so he'll admit that running off to hid in Atlantis whenever he got too huffy, or the strain of trying to evade the law got to be too much wasn't the most heroic thing he'd ever done. In the mists of all the chaos that Luthor's new laws about vigilantism had cause Aquaman had basically opened up Atlantis to the remaining heroes as a place to cool their heels without worrying about being arrested.
It was an honest relief to Ollie, who hardly felt safe on the surface anymore. Too many nights spent looking over his shoulder, wondering if saving this or that person would put an end to his freedom was sobering. It left him feeling almost as paranoid as the Bat. Having somewhere to go where Luthor's laws couldn't touch him, and he didn't feel like a live wire at every second was a god send.
Plus the company wasn't too bad. Ollie smiled fondly as he was led through the city by an Atlantean soldier. He and Aquaman himself had struck up a bit of an odd friendship, and at was where he was going now. Off to see the King.
Almost forgot. Tagging the people who I've crossed out today. If you're tagged, please check my thread tracker page and let me know if you would like to continue our thread. If I hear nothing from you by Saturday, I'll remove the thread from the tracker. I'm just trying to keep things organized.

"Arthur" Ollie murmured looking at the other blond man with half lidded eyes, making sure it was obvious that he was looking him up and down. "It's been a while big guy, what've you been up to, where ya been?"

Lian frowned up at the man, she didn't recognize him. But, he was at the watch tower, so that meant he worked with Daddy or Grandpa Ollie right? The mini archer didn't know, and daddy always said not to talk to people if she didn't know. With that in mind, the little girl set about playing with her pink bow and sparkly arrows that Uncle Jason had bought her.

Thomas stared at Arthur's bright clothes with interest. "Buh?"
