Duos we didn't get enough of in 3rd Life:
Bdubs and Skizzleman. Please put the two shouty men who make constant random noises in the same room.
i love them
irl elytra are the protective casings that shelter many beetles' fragile inner wings.
So all I'm saying is that when Mojang updates the End, they have a perfect chance to add in some sort of massive flying insectoid mob. Perhaps it drops something that can be crafted into elytra, so we're no longer bound to only finding them in end-ships. Or perhaps something that can be used to upgrade them -- make them longer-lasting, hold more enchantments...who knows.
But we don't have an answer for where exactly elytra come from or why there's only one (apparently precious and revered) pair per end-ship, and I'd personally love another few mobs for the end, so this seems like an excellent place to start.
heck maybe it could even be a flying steed that you could use to travel the end with like some sort of void lava strider but that might be asking too much
this guy
...a bunch of my really old queued posts are suddenly posting and they're like... 2-month-old 3rd Life things and I do apologize. XD
