"How much longer are we going to do this?" "As long as we have to."
A concept I had back on December based on another what-if for my Kitsune AU
Basically if Sayuri ended up with afo’s quirk and quirks
(Still in heavy art block, so will probably post some things I wasn’t originally going to for now)
Please do not repost! :)
“Come here, you will not need your godfather’s sword. I’m nearly out of time. Take a seat next to me.” “I’d rather not.” “Sit next to me, Sayuri-chan.” “Again, no thank you.” “I’m going to have to insist. It will make this next part far more comfortable for you.” With a twitch of All for One’s hand she is seated in the chair next to the hospital bed. Sayuri narrows her eyes at the man masking as a near corpse. “Good to know your quirks still work.” “Of course they do, my body is broken, my mind is fine. How high is your pain tolerance?” “High.” She grimaces. All for One reaches out with both hands, cupping her cheek. Sayuri tries to break the hold the quirk has on her but to no avail. He runs his hands over her face, mapping her features easily. “Good. You look like your grandmother, out of the two of us you would have liked her. She was quirkless like you once. Yes, this will work just as I want it to. My apologies Sayuri-chan,this is going to hurt a good deal I’m afraid.” Ice crawls up her veins, it burns worse than any of the scars from Shigaraki’s hands. There is a moment when all she hears is a multitude of screaming sirens, followed by absolute silence- the eerie kind that leaves one deeply uncomfortable. A chill runs down her spine, hairs stand stark on her arms. She shivers.

She pulls and yanks and wires, sparks ignite in her hand- it doesn’t smell like nitroglycerin burn but it reminds her enough of Kats that she can work through the pounding in her skull to complete her mission. The heart monitor comes to a screeching halt in the background, it drowns in comparison to how her thoughts spin around her head. Sayuri may be in indescribable pain but she pushes through to make sure, to access the body- dead, he’s actually dead. He’s dead. He gave her a quirk.. She’se not quirkless anymore- she has a siren chorus screaming in her head and a headache from the depths of the void itself. Sayuri chokes on a sob, she’s no longer quirkless and it burns. Is this how icarus felt? Her hands tremble and she reaches for her phone. Sayuri doesn’t move, she can’t move- they have to really make sure he doesn’t, can’t come back- her fingers automatically dial an old familiar number.
