Do you guys think that his mothers past contributed to AFO's fear of not being remembered? because if you think about it his mom lived a life were everyone either ignored or abused her, and when she died I doubt anyone noticed. And the only person who's left to remember her story is the son that she didn't even know existed until she died.

And the worst part is that her story dies with AFO, as he was the only person who could tell it. Like that had to have effected him even a little, it certainly would make sense if it contributed to his goal to be the greatest villain in history. To make sure that his story would be remembered in the way he wanted it to be.

It also makes me curious did AFO ever tell Yoichi about their mother? like dose Yoichi know that their mothers vestige resides in AFO or did he just not bother to tell him, idk man it makes you think.

Do you guys think that AFO suffered from some form of dissociative identity disorder, or some form of depersonalisation. It’s something I’ve always been curious about since we first saw AFO’s narration of his backstory and his reaction to his brothers death for the first time.

They way he describes it, it’s like he’s talking about a separate persons life and not his own. Plus there’s the fact that he was so determined to become a character instead of being viewed as a person.

Part of me wonders that because of his upbringing he had to dissociate a lot in order to cope with everything around him that it just became his norm. And so feeling anything at all aside from a few numbed emotions was really odd for him. It might explain why when he had finally begun to feel his emotions clearly in the end that he freaked out because he had never been able to feel anything so strongly before.

it’s could also explain why he had such a hard time creating proper bonds with the people around him aside from Yoichi. I mean besides the fact that he didn’t really view other people as anything other than tools. But that’s just me speculating who knows for sure.

Do you guys think that the reason AFO was so desperate to see Yoichi's face despite everything going on around him-aside from the fact that he was desperate for Yoichi's attention. Was because over the centuries AFO had eventually forgot what his brother looked like so, even catching a glimpse of him was more important to him than even his own impending death.

Even worse, is that AFO needed Yoichi to know that he cared about him and that he felt worthless without him before he died. After decades of criticism him and calling him weak, useless and pathetic.

Idk it keeps me up at night, if only those two could have had a stable upbringing, then they could have had an actual healthy bond. And not a codependent toxic disaster.

AFO & Yoichi headcannon's

AU where their mother lived

I like to imagine that after their mother recovered from birth and saw her son had superpowers she'd have retreated to a remote part of the country, wolf children style.

I also imagine that AFO would still be the more feral of the two but he'd also be the most obedient of the twins and was practically his mother's shadow.

AFO ended up being a bit parentified by his mother, due to the fact he was the strongest. So, she ended up relying on him a lot as he got older and this created a bit of a complex.

Yoichi on the other hand was a lot more rebellious and free spirited because he was the smallest so less was expected of him. Which meant he had a lot more freedom than AFO did, and this led to them butting heads a lot.

Yoichi was fascinated by the outside world and tried to convivence his sibling to sneak them out more than once, he was refused each time. However, both brothers have a packed to keep each others secrets whenever they do disobey.

AFO didn't know he could steal quirks until he was a teenager when he first snuck to the big city, till then he thought he could only use spikes.

When he did find out he was terrified but also experienced a huge dopamine rush and ran crying to his brother who promised to keep his secret. This was also when he started being attacked by vestiges and begun hiding in his brothers room at night.

Despite the bad experience the pair agreed to properly sneak out together when they were sixteen in search for the glowing baby (they heard about him from the radio their mother had kept) hoping to find answers about AFO's quirk.

I doubt AFO is the type to get sick often, I mean to survive his youth he probably has the immune system of the gods. But, when he dose get sick it's the worst thing ever, for everyone involved.

Because he's not used to it AFO usually ignores any signs of illness until he literally collapses and can't do anymore work, and when he dose get sick he looses control of his quirks which just causes disaster for everyone involved. Not to mention AFO gets extremely embarrassed and will refuse to be tended by anyone till it's over.

And AFO's poor minion's get heart attacks when they noticed he's sick because they have to coax him like a toddler to rest properly and let them handle things. What's worse is that because of his temper during this time they're usually caught in the crossfires of his haywire quirks. He also refuses to take any meds that aren't given to him from Ujiko so, it's basically like dealing with an animal that refuses to take they're meds but twice as hard since that animal can also disintegrate you.

You know we always joke about how AFO is a boy-failure/man-child who probably doesn't know how do to basic things like cooking or cleaning in order to survive-which to be fair is a rep he has earned. But in actuality he's probably really good at a lot of those things due to his youth.

To survive in the literal apocalypse he probably had to learn how to cook effectively and make medicines and keep clothes and other recourses well maintained or he and Yoichi wouldn't have survived. I've always headcannoned that AFO is actually really good at sowing and maintaining clothes as well as making his own medicines because they were rescores that were few and far between in his youth.

My man probably has the list of plants you can eat/make medicine out off and what's poisonous memorized by trial and error. Especially since he wouldn't let Yoichi do these things because a) too dangerous b)he's too weak and c) it's easier for AFO to gather. The same goes for food because even if you agued they scavenged for food a lot of the leftover foods in stores and stuff would've rotted eventually which only left making your own.

Heck even cotton can rot after being exposed to the elements for long enough so he'd be forced to make his own stuff eventually. Like look at this cloak he's make-shifted out of trash bags or the way he basically made himself a new outfit out of capes when he first started de-aging.

I'm just saying that whilst AFO is a total boy-failure in many other ways I bet he'd be amazing at these specific survival based skills.

I subscribe to the idea that in a soulmate au All Might and AFO would be soulmates, since All Might is clearly the only person who can match AFO's freak.

However, I don't think AFO would ever realize it since I bet he would 100% believe that Yoichi was/is his soulmate, and would just attribute any sign of All Might being his, as Yoichi's soul shining trough the quirk. So, in the end the only one who would know would be All Might who'd probably never tell anyone and just assume that them being soulmates is because he's destined to kill AFO.

So, in the end it's a bit of a tragedy, but you could also make a fluffy au were they end up domestic also 🤷‍♀️

What do you guys think AFO's favorite food would be? I mean we all know he loves wine and we know he loves fancy stuff so it would stand to reason it would be a stupidly fancy dish.

Buuuuuut I think it would actually be more simple and comfort food esc, like I personally thinks he loves food like pork buns because they were something special he and Yoichi could share on the streets. Or alternatively he has a massive sweet tooth since sweets were something extremely rare in his childhood so, he secretly likes to indulge in them whenever he can.
