It’s that time again: more oekaki art from the last few months! Three bits of fan art and Afro Lady’s arch nemesis Disco Death!

Drew this on the plane to Florida. Wee~

I created this character a little while back, but wasn't too impressed with the first sketches of her I did. Then I thought back to the visual style of Hiroyuki Imaishi, that guy who's work has been in FLCL, Re:Cutey Honey and direction of Dead Leaves. I must say I find his visual style really inspiring, and I'm been dreaming up all sorts of stuff that uses a similar style. So before I left for Florida I printed some of his art off and took it with me so I could try out the style a little myself. And so I tried it out on Afro Lady and wala...this happened.

I left all the pencil marks in for effect..of some sort. Then just today I slapped it in Photoshop and coloured it. Personally, I quite like how this came put, even though the pen was ripping the paper up drawing it. But this is the first time I'd done a colour pic of her.
