lyrics ask: "our roads may be golden, or broken, or lost; but we'll walk on them willingly, knowing the cost"
This isn't a WIP anymore, but writing the Jily fic (Of Three Times Lily Evans Changed Her Mind About James Potter) felt like this. As I was getting close to the end, especially, because I had spent all this time falling in love with these characters - some of them only names and a death in the books, like the McKinnons or Dorcas Meadowes - and now I knew that I was reaching the end, and I had to choose whether or not I would portray the ending we all knew was coming. I chose not to, in case you were wondering. Not every story needs to end at the end, if you know what I mean.
Send me a lyric and I'll tell you what OC/WIP it reminds me of

[Image: A slender Latinx with short, dark hair in a black hoodie with the sleeves ripped off, and a dirty rose-colored long-sleeved scoopneck top underneath it. They have a vaguely dissatisfied expression on their face, and hash-mark tattoos on their arms in between curling black linework. Their left hand holds a rusty, bloody machete which is propped across the back of their shoulders.]
This fits my current Lost character: Teagan, Summer Mirrorskin, Squire of the Broken Bough. Non-binary, queer, constantly using Mirror to change their appearance. The last line of their description is ‘What’s in Teagan’s pants? Anger.’
They’re from South Philly, and here’s their playlist, which tracks their arc.
