you and miles strolled down the streets of brooklyn, new york in silence. nothing but the sounds of busy traffic breaking the on-going silent treatment you were giving him.
-- "man, wassup witchu?" he spat. you could basically hear the annoyed tone through his thick brooklyn accent.
you muttered out a - "nothin." as you continued what was supposed to be "silent treatment." whilst scrolling through your tiktok feed -- one airpod in, with your knotless braids pulled into a bun.
"mmtch, dont 'nothin' me. obviamente algo anda mal." he spoke; looking at you for a split second, walking closest to the road-- with you walking closest to the passing deli's.
you loved- no. adored that he knew the sidewalk rule.
but was this the time for allat lovey, dovey shit? no. you were supposed to be mad at this nigga!
"aparentemente." you mumbled, not paying him any mind. a moment of silence followed with your statement as you two walked.
the laces of miles' jordans slapping against his shoes. always wearing his damn shoes untied, what a dumb habit. but that made miles, miles.

a small smile made itself a home on your lips as he apologized. thats all you really wanted to hear, especially giving that your last failed relationships barely knew how to give you a compliment.
