What a road this has been. Someone asked me about mom, and what Christmas feels like without her, and without Dad. It feels like I want to sit under a buckthorn tree and talk about the World Cup.

Morocco is light and fluid, moves like a flexible net down the field, each player aware of his place in the fabric that is his team. Belgium, ranked second in the world, seems to have no central heart beat, they play separate from each other, without poetry. The Leap out

The last ten inches is more like a mile. Oh how I love what I do!

In the distance between this muddy, too-forced, half-formed idea and the piece that will sing a clear, strong tone there’s nothing but danger for me now. It’s a distance measured in hours.
