There used to be a time where she smiled much more. A grin that would often seem to be plastered on her face when she was with others, especially around him. Innocence and joy she had lost when she cut her hair.

Hearing footsteps behind her, she gave the stranger a smile.

“Oh, hey….I didn’t notice you were there, you new around here? I don’t think I’ve seen you around town before…”

The thought of finding water had been at the forefront of her mind for some time now, having been stranded at sea for far longer than was healthy. It had been rather difficult resisting the temptation to drink the salted water that always surrounded her at times, but she remembered well all the tales her mother had told her of sailors dying of thirst at sea. It felt like a sick joke at times.

But thankfully, land had finally been reached, even if it was late at night and she could hardly see a foot in front of her, hand waving about in an attempt to make sure she didn't break her nose by walking into a tree in this dense forest. She was exhausted, but it was hardly time for her to rest. She was dehydrated and famished, but mostly in desperate need of water.

Having spent some time surviving in the woods upon the last few weeks she had lived in Kurozu, she had learned a few tricks to keep herself alive in these kind of situations. 

Though her feet carelessly knocked over the precious dew that had gathered on the blades of grass beneath her in same sprinkles, she could touch moss on a rather large tree in front of her, wet and bloated with moisture. Tearing it away from the bark, she fell to her knees and titled her head back. The water was rather dirty, but she could care less as she strangled every last bit the plant had to offer her, blissfully trickling down her throat, unaware to all that was around her at the moment.
