I think part of the reason why the adult designs suck so much is because before y8, JC was really good at character design! Objectively, that's what they are best at! All of the friends looked so unique and had so much personality (at first) so seeing them grow up into the same assortment of jackets, t shirts, and jeans is sooo disheartening. Take Jae for example! He looks like an NPC now. And don't get me started on pothead Jacob. The fact they haven't incorporated any of his past design except the red colored shirt physically hurts me. Oh well. At least he has hair now.

Hm, I can’t quite agree. I think most of Adult designs are alright, to be honest, and actually capture characters’ personalities pretty well. That’s why Jae stands out to me so much as being so bland.

I mean, Charlie and Talbott are great, in my opinion. I also really like Tulip, and my only complaint about her is that her red hair streak gives too strong Merula vibe. Chiara showed more of her punk rock side, Barnaby does look like someone who works outside with the creatures, Corey kept their jewellery. Penny looks like a basic bitch that she truly is. Badeea and Liz didn’t change much, but personally, I think it still kinda works. I know that people complain about Andre not being fashionable enough, but I guess the problem is that JC went too much in the direction of “modern fashion” instead of “a fashionista in the wizarding world”.

I won’t comment on Jacob because I don’t care how he looks, and he’d ruin anything anyway, so… whatever.

But Jae for some reason kept only his shoes, and even they look more bland than they are currently. And I just don’t get it… I think it’d even be better if they kept his yellow hoodie and put some jacket over it (in fact, that’s kinda what I was expecting with him).
