when i was thirteen years old i read i have no mouth and i must scream for the first time on my aunt’s couch during the 4th of july where there was a big barbecue going on outside and i finished that short story relatively quickly because it was so horrific that i couldn’t turn my eyes away and then i just had to go back outside afterwards and smile and laugh and pretend like i didn’t just read a mind-altering incredibly uncomfortable story that made middle school me start ruminating on things like mortality and unfathomable eternity

#oh god #so like #that story is well . i mean it’s well-written but i think it’s one of those things where you can read it only once and never have to read it #again ever #ough ough OUGH i get ill just thinking about it #so if u haven’t read it yet this is ur sign ! but do not say i didn’t warn u #also on that note read tasteful body by cheongbori . it’s not similar but it’s an incredible thriller webtoon that kinda made me want to #puke when i finished reading it #ya !!!!!#i have no mouth and i must scream
