2013-14 Week 11 College Football and NFL Picks
They don't call it gambling for nothing as there are times when you make picks and prognostications when you have a good run in picking and making predictions and then you have runs and moments when you are not so hot in making picks. After having had a winning week several weeks back with my against the spread (ATS) picks, I have gone back to being below .500 with my going 0-5 in my Week 10 picks highlighting that this truly has not been my year making picks at all. While many others would say and decide to quit making such predictions, I frankly am too hard headed and stubborn to quit and therefore will continue to make ATS predictions and straight up pick predictions from here until the Super Bowl is played. With that said, looking forward to this weekend's action of NCAA Football and NFL games, in the college game, the two marquee were played on Thursday with Baylor easily defeating Oklahoma and Stanford once again beating Oregon and dashing their title hopes. That said, on Saturday we will still be treated to the appetizing game between Alabama and LSU who in the past several years have played close competitive games outside of the BCS National Championship showdown which Alabama easily won. In NFL action, there are several intriguing and fascinating games on the docket with the Detroit Lions facing off against the Chicago Bears, the Denver Broncos face off against the San Diego Chargers, and on Sunday night the Dallas Cowboys take on the New Orleans Saints. In non-football action this weekend, there are some very intriguing games in European soccer as on Sunday we will get to enjoy Arsenal-Manchester United in Premier League play while Juventus take on SSC Napoli in Serie A action in the late kickoff on Sunday. In boxing action this weekend, on Saturday from Corpus Cristi, TX, HBO will telecast a tripleheader with the main event fight being Mikey Garcia taking on Rocky Martinez in a fight that will be for the WBO Junior Lightweight title. Needless to say, again this weekend will not be a snoozefest for sporting fans. Looking back at my picks last weekend, well as I already mentioned, I went 0-5 on my ATS picks. While that set of picks left and bruised my ego, I did better with my straight up picks as I went 3-2 on those with the two losses by the NFL picks I made. In addition, I hit on two of the three bonus picks I made with Fiorentina easily beating AC Milan and the Genneady Golovkin fight going longer than 6.5 rounds. Through 10 weeks, my ATS record is 17-31-2 on my ATS picks and 39-11 on my straight up picks. Against The Spread Picks Auburn (-7) vs. Tennessee Duke (-9.5) vs. NC State UCLA (-1) vs. Arizona New York Giants (-7) vs. Oakland Raiders Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2.5) vs. Miami Dolphins Straight Up Picks Michigan defeats Nebraska Wisconsin defeats BYU Alabama defeats LSU Denver Broncos defeat San Diego Chargers New Orleans Saints defeat Dallas Cowboys Bonus Picks: In Sunday Premier League action between Tottenham and Newcastle United, take the draw at +330 while in the Arsenal-Manchester United game, take the under at +110 for the number of goals scored being below 2.5. Finally in Sunday Ligue 1 action, take the draw at +220 in the game between Saint-Etienne and Olympique Lyon.
