Q: let’s start slow. who have you spoken to since you got here, and what did you think of them initially?
ah, well, let’s hope i can remember all of their names. let’s see, there was dylan, she’s pretty cool. maxwell’s a nice guy as well. magnolia i spoke to briefly, but not enough to really get a read on her. destiny made a good impression on me with those tequila shots, she’s pretty sick. benjamin i spoke to, but not long enough to decide how i felt about him. mateo seems chill as well. parker is... interesting. i’m not quite sure whether it’s a good or bad interesting yet, but i think i’m leaning towards good. ronni is, so far, the only person to recognize me from my football career, which i guess is... good? elliott is weird, but seems nice. lena is nice, and a fellow brit, so love that. and atticus is chill, also. so far i don’t quite dislike anyone, everyone seems quite nice.
Q: anyone you’ve got your eye on, off the bat?
actually, yeah. i quite fancy destiny, and elliott as well. don’t know them well enough to decide if i actually like them yet, ‘course, but they’re my two front-runners. oh, and atticus is quite my type as well.
Q: who are you rooming with tonight?
elliott and i decided to be roommates after we bonded by hiding yoghurt in sand.
Q: how does it feel to be the oldest on the island?
i feel a bit like a dad, actually. some of the people i speak to, such as magnolia, are so much younger than me that i kind of wonder, like, should you even be here? you know? like, shouldn’t they be in school or somethin’?
Q: you said ronni recognized you. do you want the others to recognize you, or would you prefer to keep a low profile?
you know, i sort of, em, put my manchester united days behind me a while back. not that i don’t want to be recognized from it, because obviously, i’m talking about it on television, but i don’t want it to be the first thing people think of when it comes to me.
i’m more complex than that.
