A View Beyond the Agate Bridge in Petrified Forest National Park by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: While walking up to one side of the Agate Bridge with a view looking to the northeast to the bridge itself. My thinking in composing this image was to angle my Nikon SLR camera slightly downward, having the bridge in the image center, more or less. It would create a sweeping view from near to far. It would also create a contrast of settings with the hardened ground nearby and then yellow and green plant-life further off in the distance. Above would be blue skies to add a further contrast to complement this national park setting.

Not Limiting Myself in Nature Outside (Petrified Forest National Park) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: While walking up to the Agate Bridge from the main parking area, looking to the east. My thinking in composing this image was to angle my Nikon SLR camera slightly downward and create that sweeping view across this portion of Petrified Forest National Park. Most of the image would consist of earth-tones present in and around the namesake petrified log, but a portion would be that of the blue skies to complete this setting.

Up Close to the Agate Bridge (Petrified Forest National Park) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: While at the Agate Bridge with the petrified log of the bridge itself (and support) going from near to far. The view is looking to the northeast and using the petrified tree itself as a leading line into the image. By closing down a little on the aperture, I felt I was able to ensure more of the image was brought and kept in focus. By crouching down, I I wanted to capture a head on view of this natural setting in Petrified Forest National Park.
