AgathaRio AU | Agatha and Rio go on a first date. Due to nerves, Agatha defaults to talking about what she's comfortable with. Her job. As she's going on about it, she realizes Rio hasn't said a word. Agatha is embarrassed and apologizes. Admitting she's just nervous.

I'm seeing a lot of AgathaRio talk about how it's hot, sapphic, how they love each other so much it hurt them. No one is talking about how, if you really pin it down, how fucking Romantic Rio/Death is. Te Veo - I see you. She's was always around, when it was hard for Agatha, she was there, even if Agatha didn't think she wanted her, she needed her there, and she was. She shows up and hands her a flower "My lady" does she play it off as being a nuisance - of course, that's the character of Lady Death (Death acts much the same in the Deadpool comics btw. Very unserious and weird. this is just Marvel's take on Death) She gives her 6 years with a stillborn son, she broke the laws f the unverse for Agatha, risked her own existence for Agatha to have as long s she could muster with her son, THEIR son. She gae her chance over chance to give her Billy instead of telling him herself what he was doing, she did this because she KNEW how much Agatha legitimately loved Billy and Tommy "Another woman's son"

She knew Agatha had to die eventually - but not at the hands of her abusive, horrible mother (fuck you eleanor btw) Rio hates ghosts, she says it in the show and multiple times in comics - but LETS Agatha "get away" from her because gatha said "I don't want to see your face" when she des, and Rio is so incredibly in love with this woman that she obliges and let's Agatha break the riles of the universe AGAIN. And not to mention how Rio LOOKS at Agatha at any given point in the show, EVEN when they're fighting. And the TEARS in her eyes when she realized Agatha siphoned her ( "you know I can't [take your power], it would kill me") I'm fucking unwell thinking about them as a ship in general. This one really hits right where it needs to and it may be the greatest Marvel - nay- DISNEY corportation romance of all time.

Rio knew to show up as soon as Agatha sang the Ballad - assuimin there's be a pile of corpses for her. But this one went wrong, and managed to overlp another administrative oopsie - the body jumper- But she knew she KNEW what Agatha was doing "I will have my bodies" - because this is a secret pact/offering between them, Rio views it as a spark of hope that her beloved still loves her.
