Paris, Saint-Ouen – Park at the docks, Agence Ter, 2013
The Integrated Development Zone of the Docks is a large 100 ha area on the banks of the Seine, on the edge of Saint-Ouen’s historical centre at the gates of Paris. It is the transformation of an almost monofunctional, industrial territory into a new mixed development fully integrated in the existing town, with the 12-hectare Park of the Docks providing an extensive open space on the banks of the Seine. Agence Ter proposed a complex landscape system that offers optimistic answers to questions concerning social equity and water resilience. The park was imagined as alternating hollows and solids, which materialize two types of place: spaces for nature and gardens for the public.

Paris, Billancourt Park, Agence Ter, 2017
The renaturing of the site of the Billancourt Park, with its industrial past, is based on the nature/town duality of the Seine and the City. The site used to be a major industrial site in the Paris region: the Renault car manufacturing grounds. Both the area on the bank of Boulogne-Billancourt, as well as the Ile Seguin situated in the Seine River were liberated due to a move of the industry and therefore became possible locations for new large-scale urban development projects on a stone’s throw from the historic centre of Paris.
I made a video! It’s at the quality of where a first draft should be - a lot of decisions made were “ok, I just have to make this to turn in” level, but it was really fun to rehash some stuff I learned about After Effects like two-three years ago.
I really put the focus on animating & consistent pacing, so I apologize for the inconsistent style and really fast music, haha....
In this video, I’m trying to juxtapose two Agence Ter projects next to each other to reveal their similarities.

A dazzling, wind-driven sculpture takes over L.A.’s Pershing Square this week
Pershing Square, the five acre park at the center of Downtown Los Angeles, has been in the news quite a bit recently. The 150-year-old park has been seen as an eyesore in the area, an underused and dislocated public park isolated from the city’s growing street life, elevated atop a subterranean parking garage. Pershing Square’s reputation had fallen into such ill repute that in 2015, residents…
