I want to eventually update all the mugshots I did back then from X-535’s first anniversary, but for now here’s Gom, Finn and Mahason. Cuz I think they look the most different compared to their initial pre-L Corp concept

…I didn’t want this to be an Aberration, but alas, the concept was too unclear to properly execute my original idea. But I do think this still feels fitting, context in mind.
Desolate childhoods
I never rlly went into detail about Mahason’s childhood, as his backstory more focuses on the Smoke War… but how desolate was his childhood for his main memory to be a war? For his family to willingly give him up?
Maybe he was a child that was needed but not wanted. Thus, ultimately abandoned.
Taking the hand you were given… striving to do as much as you can in life…
It’s just that Mahason is much more sure of himself, going forward without regret. Compared to Haru, whom still has some lingering doubt/guilt. Probs cuz of their families being different in that sense.
