Time Lost: Found

The little, blue-furred eevee munched away on a few berries it picked up. The herbs that were crushed by the berries smelled so good and so strong. He tried to bury his face in the leaves as his tail wagged. Something wrapped around his tail and pulled him up, hanging the eevee several feet above the food.

The eevee struggled, flailing to get out. He tried to swing around to bite at the rope that snagged him by the base of his tail, but he couldn’t. Where’s Mama? He started screaming, he hurt so much and he was so scared!

At least they found the egg’s owner. The last thing Elli needed was another egg hatching and bonding to them on accident.

“Maybe you should try keeping something so delicate in a bag so you don’t lose it again.” They scoffed, mildly annoyed by her carelessness. “The first moments a Pokemon hatches are really important to their growth. Don’t screw it up.”

Ava was glad that they returned the egg to her and didn’t just take it. However few things were quite as annoying as some random stranger trying to lecture her. She thanked them and this is how they responded? She didn’t like that one bit.

“I didn’t get very far before I realized I forgot it and turned back. Ya just happened to get there before I did. It’s not like I did it on purpose. But thanks anyways, ya have a nice day.” With that the young women turned around and started to walk away, not wanting to spend anymore time than was necessary with this stranger. Ava held the basket close now, carrying it with both arms.

Previously obscured by Ava, but visible now that she had moved, was a Manectric that was patiently waiting not too far away. The electric canine was giving Elli an intense stare and bared his teeth as he obediently held his position up until Ava whistled a command for him to come to heel. The Manectric would be recognizable to Elli as an Orre breed with its shorter, course fur and dull coloration compared to one from another region.

After several minutes of travelling back, Valerie had passed out. She was roused as soon as Zapdos landed back at the villa. The sylveon was woozy. She thought about getting a pecha berry from Snorelax. She was not going to stay too long. Just for Mimikyu. Then, she could leave. Before Elli learned she was back.

Valerie didn’t get too far before she collapsed.

The blanket on Valerie’s back felt so warm. She stretched, but instantly regretted exposing the pads on her feet to the cold. Instantly, they were tucked under the blanket again.

Blanket.

Valerie’s eyes shot opened as she roll onto her stomach from her side. There was no way to tell how much time had passed, with how dark the villa was. Valerie turned to look at the blanket that had been covering her. From the print, it was easy to tell that it was made by Mimikyu. Maybe the ghost had recovered from the battle. Valerie decided she would go see Mimikyu before she would go this time.

Well, there would be nothing to hold her back anymore. Valerie decided to shed the collar and her bag even, deciding to head out. Good riddance.

Valerie had a thought about snooping around and seeing about getting her hands on Dazzling Gleam, just to show it off to the former Cipher admin before going, but she decided not to bother.

You threatened not to save me again, why should I give a shit?

Of course, no one does.

With the outside darkness preventing any humans from following or finding her, Valerie scurried away from the manor.
