I think this image is very dreamlike! I think we all see paages in our dreams. Paths, streets, tunnels, stairs
true. it almost feels like it’s underwater. i really dig it
this painting in question
@agentscully514 should’ve trusted your instincts, ha! Emerick is not a good source for this stuff. He admits many times, all the way back in 1979, that his memory is less than stellar on specifics, which makes the vivid detail his book often goes into pretty suspect. There are plenty of verifiable errors in his book as well.
@itspronouncedkaniffee thank you. Here’s the link to what you mentioned
Documentation aside, even comparing it to Paul’s ahhhs in Lovely Rita (also played in that video I also linked before) you can hear the similarities. I recognize the same little swoop at the beginning of his notes. I do think he’s making himself a little bit more nasally in A Day In The Life than he normally is, perhaps doing his John impression, but it’s Paul.
@agentscully514 Ehhhhhhh I think we should probably take John’s words with a grain of salt here. I don’t think he really meant it, personally. He’d just had an argument with George that led to George walking out, so it’s likely he was still riled up over that. I think in 69 he was angling for a looser, wider collective and to bring in other musicians, certainly, but I don’t think he truly believed George was replaceable. And even if you do believe he thought George was replaceable, you can’t lump Paul in with him on that. Paul was so resistant to bringing in more people specifically because he saw the Beatles as, quite rigidly, those four guys and those four guys only. Also, in order to get George back, he was the one who conceded the most. They moved buildings, they brought in Billy… He was willing to compromise to get George back. And Paul is not generally a compromiser.
Just want you to know. I'm 53 in three weeks, been Beatles fan since 1980. I'm a McCartney girl. I have SO much love for Harrison fans. If I were not so embarrassingly basic, I would be a George fan.
happy almost birthday!! i’ve only been a beatles fan for like a year and a half but george is definitely my love 😍
also we respect paul fans in this house. he’s what pulled me into the fandom in the first place
@agentscully514 Documented where? By whom?
all of paul's kids have a chin cleft!
I knew they taught me about those dominant and recessive genes in biology for a reason!
although I do think Mary and Stella’s are like…bareelllly there
yes paul has a chin cleft and so do all of his kids!
I agree that Paul does, though it can be subtle sometimes.
James' is pretty strong.
but I'm really struggling to find any photos of Stella, Mary or B that show a clear chin cleft.
