Sneaking around a planet inhabited by the First Order was risky enough but hiding in the treeline and observing an enemy outpost was regarded to most as a “bad move”. Of course, Poe Dameron certainly wasn’t most. He had a talent for shoving down his fear, forcing it to be replaced with curiosity. It was one of his many coping tactics that helped him survive. Seeing that he’d looked death in the face too many times to count, he figured he was doing alright so far.
The pilot hadn’t quite realized how important the planet was to the Order until he caught sight of a familiar red head. He’d seen the man when he’d last been held hostage and tortured by the infamous Kylo Ren. Wicked memories threatened to flood his mind as he watched from his position. Instead he tried to focus on remembering what this far-too-proper looking man’s name was. Hugh? Hubert? Hux! A smirk touched his lips as he gave a snort. He looked like a Hux; short-tempered with a bite to his words the same way the ‘x’ stung ones tongue. When he watched the General in question turn his way, Poe automatically ducked down lower, fearing perhaps he’d been caught.
