I just reread the Toyhouse and I’m in love with how much personality Careful’s cubs have! (Unlike Quickmane’s cub’s in My Pride) I can’t wait to see more of them and Careful in this chapter! I’m very excited!

after almost a week with the new computer (Lenovo IdeaPad 5i) I have mostly figured out that nearly all the really annoying stuff comes from Lenovo and not Microsoft and I think. I have mostly. managed to figure out how to turn it off through extensive googling and that one exhausted person on Reddit who's just like "it's a Lenovo Vantage setting." (there's some sort of auto detect thing where the screen dims if you don't look at it for like thirty seconds which I DON'T WANT, I have a completely different setting for when to turn the screen off which is NOT thirty seconds: that one is turned off. there's also the aggravating capslock and numlock on screen displays which I just found out TODAY are Vantage settings and now they are off too.)

#it also turns out that you can just uninstall copilot #my keyboard has a copilot key but now it just opens the keyboard settings page #which exhaustedly tells me that the key doesn't do anything would I like it to do something?#since I can't turn it back into a ctrl key this is the best option currently #I have only hit it accidentally once but I am in luck because I NEVER use that ctrl key #I do extremely frequently use the left ctrl key #nothing will let you know how often you use keyboard shortcuts than using them on a new computer though #I have THREE sets of home/end/pgup/pgdn keys on this keyboard but the only ones that are the default setting are the ones on the numpad #which means I have to have numlock turned off because I use them more often than I use the number pad #which I also use pretty frequently #the other two sets are all fn keys #aggravating #also for some reason the bloody thing will just occasionally drop a few percentage points of charge (while plugged in)?#but every laptop I've ever had has done that #I think I could probably also turn the keyboard backlighting off or change it but my feelings on that are at this point largely neutral #my next technology trick will be to figure out how to make my wireless earbuds pair to more than one piece of technology #currently they're only paired to my phone but I assume it's possible to also listen to my laptop on them #since it would be nice if I didn't have to travel everywhere with THREE SETS OF HEADPHONES #(the wireless ones for my phone. the wired usb-c ones for my phone. the headphone jack ones for my laptop.)#(I sleep in earbuds and I don't want to do that with wireless earbuds since I would like to FIND them in the morning.)#your girl #my ongoing disaster with technology #very importantly when I get back to sd I will have to figure out which stickers go on the new laptop #(which has a name. it's cassiopeia. all my computers are named after constellations or stars.)
