Day 2
Building My First Product: BookMyChair
One thing this Product Management journey has taught me is that real products don’t start with features, they start with real problems.
I want to share a product I worked on and genuinely feel proud of: BookMyChair.
While learning, I noticed how many salons lose revenue simply because clients forget appointments or can’t reschedule easily. Most booking tools try to do everything, but they often miss this core issue, reducing no-shows in a simple, focused way.
BookMyChair is a web-based appointment reminder and rescheduling tool designed to solve exactly that. It sends automated SMS and email reminders and allows clients to confirm, cancel, or reschedule with one tap. For salon owners and staff, this means better visibility, fewer surprises, and less manual follow-up.
As the Product Manager, I worked end-to-end, from understanding the problem to defining a focused MVP and prioritizing what truly mattered. I intentionally kept the first version lean: appointment management, reminders, staff availability, and simple analytics, leaving advanced features out to validate the core value first.
This is the second day of sharing my Product Management journey, real work, real learning, real growth.
If you’re a recruiter, founder, or part of a product team building meaningful products, I’d love to connect
