spring fever has finally arrived in islesbury ! FLOWERS IN THE SAND is the considered event of the year, celebrating the community and its history of the town. the pristine shores of islesbury beach will be filled with stands from the stores on agnes streets and an all-day concert from local bands. it's games and food galore, with a massive bonfire to conclude the night and the event. and of course, don't forget to stop by the photo booth at the entrance for a quick photo ( or ten ) of your outfit.
with agnes radio hosting the spring-themed event, it'll undoubtedly be an event to remember !

hello members, and welcome to our first ever event ! to celebrate our lovely group and our one month anniversary, the admin team present our spring-time beach festival flowers in the sand. here are all the out of character details, below:
the event will start at 1 pm EST on the 19th of march ( friday ) and will run for a week until the 26th of march, concluding at midnight to allow enough time for everyone to participate.
please avoid posting any starters or non-event related threads during the event to keep the dash organised ! also, make sure to tag everything event-related with #agnes.event and #agnes.event001.
with this event comes our new radio blog @radioagnes, presented by our npc host cass, who'll also be hosting and commentating on the event. consider this agnes' gossip blog; we definitely encourage to send in some asks to this blog - however, anything malicious or inappropriate will be deleted.
don't forget to post your character's event outfit and other edits related to the event.
if your muse works in a location on agnes street, feel free to have them over at the stand of the location and use that as something to get some plots going, this is not mandatory and your muse might be having their well-deserved day off as well if they wish so !
as always, have fun with this and certainly feel free to plot with members. we also want to thank everyone who's been with us so far. the admin team are so proud of how far we've come as a group and excited for what's ahead of us as well.

𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 : her own stand @ the flowers in the sand event
ever since rezzan was little, she had been very interested in art, especially painting. she’d make paintings and bring her own visuals onto a blank canvas. as she had gotten a little older she’d sell her paintings to earn her own money and end up donating most of the money she’d earn to charities. to her, painting wasn’t only her way of earning money but also making others happy with it. still, her will and goal to make others happy with her art hadn’t ever changed. in fact, she wanted to teach her daughter that small gestures like this make such a big impact. her daughter, who had the same interests as her in art, loved the idea of making a few paintings to earn money for charities as well. the mother & daughter had made a collection of paintings that were now spread out over the small stand that they had for a hour or two. both, excitedly waiting for someone to pass by and look at their art collection.
“listen, he was never the good god.” he sighs, exasperated. conversation with river, especially when it trespassed into the realm of academia, was not easy to navigate. his hair was in disarray, tugged at from listening to the aftermath of what he considered to be obtuse opinion. “movies are lying to you. zeus? dreadful. awful. shift the narrative! because i swear, if i read one more essay about how great and fantastic zeus is,” he pauses, exhaling. “i might just about lose my damn mind. don’t get me started on the son of a bitch heracles.” river was pushing his luck; but he was bored. he had trawled the stands, and burrowed his feet deep into the sand. it wasn’t like he could kick back and have a drink, so his only option left was to be a public nuisance.
