man, havent visited agnus's villains wiki page since last year (probably) and i totally agree with the "arrogant" category he's been added to (check out his voice clips and how much he's a self-righteous dick!), but not uhhh. the lawful evil category. going by the definitions used in the wiki (because how i use it it's more 'how [character] normally acts and what morals they adhere to'), i still think he's more neutral evil than lawful evil
he definitely befits definition 4 as most of his actions come from an unwavering loyalty to sanctus than anything, but according to the novels, his actions are more motivated by a pursuing of science and does not 100% believe in the religion. and so here comes the more headcanony part (why I'm not really arguing in the talk page), his motives, where it's either to prove his theories correct and humanity wrong (as it's not far to presume that arius has taken his theories and applied it to them, making him turn into a fucked up lookin goop thing) or... power. which i like the former better (which explains his misanthropic ideas). and i feel like sanctus is just the best way to achieve that goal. NE are more influenced by "gain" which fits both definitions.
and also i looked up the definition of 'lawful evil' and read (from easydamus)
The following actions are dishonorable for this alignment:
Fleeing a battle that's obviously going poorly
Fleeing a fight with a superior opponent
Fleeing a fight with an equal opponent
and frickin lol'd and thought "he would not consider that dishonorable" and exited the page
