yes he’s older and ha’s matured more but that would still be a habit he could still have.
like in the scene where he's holding a naked Lady, he could have rubbed his nose somewhere during/after this moment!
like the clear bonus art for that level(?) when he calls Kyrie he could have been rubbing his nose there! It would have fit the situation!
In Dmc 4 it’s debatable on the specifics
but when Trish came up to him as Gloria in her more then revealing outfit and put a blade in her boot in a way to seductive manor, Nero looked away and rubbed his nose obviously uncomfortable.

I really liked how he looked in the drawing I did with him and Kyrie yesterday I tried to kinda capture that which I did but I messed up the angle of his head so it looks odd (Messed up the whole thing)

I gave Dante yur typical Red Roses, along with Red Spider lilies, and white jasmine.

I don’t really know if he'd really like them in the first place, it’s just something that he can’t take care of or will die and he has to clean up the dead flowers, which would only add to the piling mess in his office.
but I do think he’d enjoy the beauty of nature To An Extent because he has to kill all these demons and he’s seen hell . . . Literally, it’s probably nice to have peaceful plants to look at on occasion in say a park or something. So I think he’d like the thought of flowers but not actual flowers. (Trish is similar).

that being said I kinda started to think red Spider lilies fit Dante in a way especially if paired with white jasmine.
red spider lilies are seen in anime’s (like demon slayer) as a bad omen and a character may die later.
but when you look up their meaning their their kinda like Japans/asias version of Marigolds. . .
(tho not really this was just the comparison my brain made. . . Sorry)
Boiling it down to the bare minimum they roughly represent-
Forbidden Love and death, two spirits separated from each other never able to meet in their Lives, only will they meet in the underworld after their deaths, to then restart the cycle and be separated.
Wall white jasmine is the same meaning as yur typical white flower-
weddings, purity, peace, love, happiness, and New beginnings.
this paired with the Dmc 4 Dante actually creates a very meaningful picture, which I didn’t necessarily intend not to This extent at least.
