Italian Alpinist Killed In Avalanche In Brenta Dolomites In Italy

More sad news from Italy. This is the 7th avalanche fatality since mid-October.

Dolomites, Italy – On November 12, 2016 a climber was killed in an avalanche of snow and ice near the Prato Fiorito Glacier between the Rifugio XII Apostoli and the top of Agola in the Brenta Dolomites in northern Italy.

One of the climbers managed to escape the avalanche with minor injuries and the other was buried. The uninjured climber alerted authorities…
