I FEEL SO GOOD ABOUT IT. Like, lolololol forever at the fact that Foggy is CLEARLY running for DA of Hell’s Kitchen only, but the way people respond to him, the affectionate shittalking that he gets everywhere and his jovial response to it, makes me so happy. ALSO THAT MATT IS CLEARLY PART OF FOGGY’S FAMILY. <3 <3 <3

Sort of! For a long time @puzzleboat and I weren’t writing it to post it anywhere, we were just sending stuff back and forth to make each other scream. Once we were like “...Hey, this is kind of a thing, here” we put together an outline (for both the prose and the multimedia components) and filled in the missing bits. From that point on we stuck to it pretty firmly, I think!

re: carmen going from euphoria to misery. it's related to the whole bypassing joy and attaching itself to dread, i think? you feel happy about the future but then you realize all the things you have to do to get there and the enormity of it all and it's overwhelming and actually you kind of want to get off the ride because it's too much. i may or may not be speaking out of personal experience lol

it really does seem like it could be one of those feel good romances that are also a love letter to a beautiful place (kinda like a good year is for provence?)
