Tbh I don't know much about the people and culture there, only that their football was very popular in Norway during lock-down because they still aired it 😅 Though, I did have a look through the wiki page prior the drawing
The Faroe Island is recognised as its own country, but still belongs under Denmark. Faroes were a part of the Norwegian territories that Denmark kept after 1814, and unlike Iceland, was not allowed to leave.
The country has only 50 000 inhabitants spread out on the group of islands, and does mostly fishing along with sheep farming. The Eurasian Oystercatcher (Tjaldur/Tjeld) is their national bird, and it has become a representation of their wish for independence.
The Faroe language most resembles Icelandic, Norwegian, and Norn (a language spoken on Orkney and Shetland), and biologically the Faroe people are the closest related to Scotland/Ireland (celtic), Iceland and Norway
